The Improving Community Control Project consists of rehabilitative programming of a standard eight (8) week assessment and corrective curriculum. The youth participant could require more extensive assistance, depending on the services needed and/or the progress of the student. The length of the student’s participation will be regulated by court-order, or by the referral source. Participants in the I.C.C. Project receive school academic and conduct support from the agency's "School/Community Liaison", as well as courses in the following core topics:
a) Conflict Resolution,
b) Anger Management,
c) Behavior Modification,
d) Theft Counseling;
e) Employability Skills.
This list is not extensive.
The program also offers empowerment strategies for parents/guardians of participants by referral for services to include:
1. employment assessment/training and placement;
2. financial literacy;
3. substance abuse treatment;
4. housing and economic assistance
